Meet Gina

Hello, my name is Gina Céspedes, Director of Number 1 Daycare.

Number 1 Daycare has been carefully designed to ensure your children receive the highest quality care and education, structured and balanced to meet each child’s individual needs.

Number 1 Daycare was established in 2010 to provide exceptional childcare, and we are delighted to say we have continued to grow. Thanks to all the parents who have supported us past and present, helping us earn an excellent reputation in childcare. One of our main goals is to work in partnership with parents, giving children the best possible start in their early years.

We also offer a safe, caring, relaxed and stimulating environment where you can be confident your child is receiving the very best care and education. One of the most important aspects of Number 1 Daycare is that it feels like a home away from home, making your child’s transition easier and less overwhelming.

A personal vision shaped by everyday experience

What truly sets her approach apart is the way professional knowledge meets daily understanding of children’s needs. Over the years, she has developed a way of leading that values emotional security just as much as early learning, creating an environment where children feel genuinely seen, heard, and encouraged to grow at their own pace.

As an experienced early years educator London families can relate to, her focus has always remained clear: every child deserves a calm, stimulating space where confidence develops naturally through trust, consistency and meaningful interaction.

Leading with care, culture and communication

Her leadership also reflects the diversity of modern London families. As a bilingual childcare director, she understands how important communication is for parents who want their children to feel connected both to their home culture and to the wider world around them.

That perspective helps build stronger relationships with families from different backgrounds, creating trust from the very first conversation and ensuring that children grow in a setting where both identity and belonging are respected every day.
